The next SAMPE spring conference and exhibition will be held on
May 23-26, 2022 in Charlotte, NC.

IMPORTANT NOTE: SAMPE continues to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 variants, including the latest, Omicron, and we are following the federalstatecity, and convention center policies regarding COVID preventative measures.

Currently, in North Carolina, there are no restrictions or measures imposed by executive order for the public. COVID-19 and variants are viewed as a threat, and the governor's office does recommend vaccinations and practicing safety and the 3 Ws:

Wear a mask in all indoor public settings

Wait 6 feet apart in all public settings

Wash your hands often

Amid Uncertainty of Variants, Research Shows Attending In-Person Business Events Safer Than Daily Activities Like Going to the Grocery Store

According to the latest Freeman & Epistemix Delta Impact Study, in-person business events can happen safely, despite the increased delta and seasonal increase in COVID cases. Some key takeaways from the report include:

  1. Participants (including attendees, exhibitors, staff) have a vaccination rate of 80% or greater (and climbing), imparting a coverage ratio that drastically cuts the transmissibility of COVID-19 at such events. Coupling the controllable nature of events + industry vaccination rates, attending an event is no riskier than most ordinary daily activities.

  2. In-person business events have high vaccination rates, which drastically cuts the transmissibility of COVID-19.

  3. Indoor air quality is a critical consideration: Most major convention centers and hotels have significantly upgraded their systems, and most spaces are voluminous and are similar to outdoor transmissibility.

Registration is 100% REFUNDABLE for anyone who contracts COVID-19 within 14 days of the event dates and can show proof of a positive test.

In the event the registrant is no longer able to attend SAMPE, substitutions of a business colleague/co-worker will be accepted. The original registrant must submit the replacement's name and contact information in writing to Cancellation requests cannot be processed over the phone.
