Driving Directions

 

The Charlotte Convention Center is easily accessible from Interstate 85, Interstate 77 and U.S. Highway 74. Plus, with the building’s two entrances, College Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, you can find convenient parking in a garage or lot close to or connected to the Convention Center. Parking at the Convention Center 

​

The Charlotte Convention Center has parking spaces around the Center in several different parking garages and ground level lots.  Rates vary by lot and event and are in effect seven days a week.  See the attached map, Convention Center Parking Map.

Airport Information

 

Just 7 miles away, it only takes about 15 minutes to get from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to the Charlotte Convention Center.

Ground Transportation 

​

For a one-way trip to or from Uptown, taxis cost a flat rate of $25 and a hybrid-electric Sprinter Bus Service costs $2.20. Ride-share services from Uber and Lyft are also available, with designated meeting locations at baggage claim. 

 

Attendees are advised to fly into Charlotte Douglas International Airport.  

Taxis can be picked-up at the airport, lower-level baggage claim area.  To the Center City, the ride is approximately 15-25 minutes depending on time of day.

What to Wear 

​

Recommended attire for all events is business casual.  The weather in Charlotte will be warm on most days, but the convention center air conditioning might be a bit cool, so wear layers to stay comfortable both indoors, and at night when the temperature drops. Don’t forget to pack your business cards, and an umbrella, just in case we get a spring shower or two.
